Dr. Lennox Small
One of the greatest pieces of advice one of my mentors gave me was, "The time is now." We sometimes wait to be ready to seize opportunities, and we may never truly be ready because new opportunities stretch us beyond where we are. A great mentor will help you become uncomfortable with complacency. It (complacency) will discourage you from pursuing anything or blind you from seeing anything worth pursuing. My mentor encouraged me to travel physically and mentally to interact with different ideas and people. Some people we encounter look like us, and some do not. But we always have the ability to learn from anyone. Because of his influence in my life, I have become a mentor and established the MALES Program (Mentoring and Leadership Equals Success).
Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it!
